Born on 2 July 1949 in Poznan; son of Walenty. He completed his advanced secondary education at the K. Marcinkowski Grammar School No. I in Poznan in 1967. The same year, he started a degree at the Higher School of Economics and also took a Teaching degree for Primary School Teachers. He did not graduate from either programme. Also in 1967, he was awarded a prize in a literary competition for shorts stories organized by the Poznan Voivodeship National Council and Municipal National Council together with the Poznan-based publishing house Wydawnictwo Poznańskie and the local daily "Gazeta Poznańska". In 1969, he took up a position as a department manager at a chemical materials depot. He made his debut with an excerpt of his novel Trenta Tre, which appeared in the periodical "Nurt" (no. 4). He was awarded the Young Art Medal by the "Głos Wielkopolski" newspaper in 1975. His prose pieces appeared in periodicals including "Nurt" (1973, 1976, and 1980), "Student" (1976), "Nowy Nurt" (1976), "Kultura" (1977), "Twórczość" (1979 and 2021), and "Głos Wielkopolski" (1982). Between 1976 and 2002, he was the owner of a fruit and vegetable stall at the Wilda Market in Poznan. Following the publication of his second novel, Panna Lilianka (Miss Lilianka), in 1979, an excerpt of a follow-up title Starościna (Tatuś) (Forewoman. Daddy), appeared in "Twórczość" (no. 9) the same year. He then stopped publishing any works for many years. In the twenty-first century, he wrote the novel Świtezianka (Water Nymph), which was accepted for publication by the State Publishing Institute (PIW), with excerpts appearing in 2021 in "Twórczość" (no. 9). He lives in Poznan.
