Born in 1973; daughter of Mieczysław Orski and Halina Wyrzykowska. She completed her advanced secondary education at the Juliusz Słowacki Grammar School No. IX in Wroclaw. The same year, she started a degree in Polish philology at the Institute of Polish Philology at the University of Wroclaw (IFP UWr). She made her debut as a literary critic in 1997 with the article Krytyk „kreatywny” (The "creative" critic), which she co-authored with Karina Stasiuk. It appeared in the quarterly "Czas Kultury" (no. 3), In 1998, she published her debut academic article, Logos i Bigos – o dyskusjach nad „Opętanymi” Witolda Gombrowicza (Logos and bigos: The debates around Witold Gombrowicz's Opętani [Possessed]), which appeared in "Acta Universitatis Wratislaviensis. Literatura i Kultura Popularna" (no. 7) In her research, she focused on contemporary Polish poetry and contemporary theories of modernism and the avant-garde. In 2002, she was awarded a doctorate in the humanities, specializing in literary studies, from UWr. Her thesis, Przełom awangardowy w dwudziestowiecznym modernizmie w Polsce (The avant-garde breakthrough in twentieth-century Polish Modernism), was supervised by Prof. Jacek Łukasiewicz. She was employed at the Department of post-1919 Polish Literature at IFP UWr from 2004 (in 2021 it became the Department of Twentieth and Twenty-First Century Polish Literature). She was awarded a habilitation degree from UWr in 2014 for her study Republika poetów. Poetyckość i polityczność w krytycznej praktyce (The Republic of Poets: Poetics and politics in critical praxis). Between 2008 and 2021, she was a member of the jury of the Silesius Wroclaw Poetry Prize. From 2013 to 2018, she served on the jury of the Wisława Szymborska Poetry Prize. In 2016, she started collaborating with the Centre for Avant-Garde Studies at the Faculty of Polish Studies at UJ. She was co-founder of the degree in Culture and Textual Practice at the Institute of Polish Literature at UWr. She was made state-appointed professor in 2021. She joined the Polish Academy of Sciences' Committee on Literary Studies in 2024. She published literary criticism and academic articles in periodicals including "Odra" (from 1997; including in its supplement "Arkusz"), "Kresy" (1998-2007), "Nowe Książki" (1999-2010), "Teksty Drugie" (1999-2011), "FA-art" (2002-2009), "Studium" (2002-2003), „Dekada Literacka" (2004-2009), and the digital literary monthly "Mały Format" (2019-2021). She lives in Wroclaw.
